We are seeking a Assessor/trainer in TAQA/ IQA to join our team. In this role you will, provide expert delivery of TAQA and IQA qualifications through engaging training, workplace assessment, and observation. Support learners and employers with tailored guidance, lead onboarding and administration, and play a key role in quality assurance and continuous improvement, driving consistently high achievement rates.

Part time, 22.5 hours a week, 52 weeks a year, £28,686.84-£30,399.20 FTE

About the role:

  • Support learners through enrolment and onboarding, including unit selection, funding guidance, and timely completion of course documentation and awarding body registration.
  • Deliver engaging teaching sessions (1:1 and group) to develop learners’ knowledge and understanding.
  • Conduct workplace observations and micro-teach assessments in line with National Occupational Standards and awarding body requirements.
  • Provide clear information, advice, and guidance to help learners produce high-quality portfolio evidence, including supporting the mapping of evidence against assessment criteria.
  • Monitor and track learner progress through Individual Learning Plans, maintaining regular communication with all stakeholders to ensure timely achievement.
  • Oversee the completion of learner portfolios, working closely with the Internal Quality Assurer (IQA) to support standardisation, audits, and quality assurance activities.
  • Contribute to curriculum development by creating innovative learning materials, utilising digital platforms, and sharing best practice across the team.

Essential Experience:

  • Recent relevant CPD relating to the delivery or management of qualify assurance and TAQA/ IQA qualifications
  • Experience of working to strict awarding organisations standards/ codes of conduct. 
  • Experience of managing client relations

Essential Qualifications:

  • Level 3 award in assessing (or equivalent) & Level 4  IQA award (or equivalent)
