Job Title: Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering
(Maternity Cover -  12 months Fixed Term Contract)

An exciting opportunity to inspire the next generation of engineers by teaching technical engineering and related subjects across both Further and Higher Education levels!

The Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering is a dynamic role involving the delivery of high-quality engineering education, with the integration of essential English and maths skills where appropriate. 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Possess a Level 6 qualification or higher and/or a relevant professional qualification, or equivalent.
  • English and Mathematics: Hold a minimum Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics (e.g. GCSE Grade 4/C or above, CSE Level 1, O-Level Grade C or above, or Level 2 Adult Literacy/Numeracy, or equivalent).
  • Teaching Qualification: Hold a recognised teaching qualification.

Essential Experience:

  • Proven experience within the mechanical or manufacturing engineering sector.
  • Competent in using CAD and/or other relevant design software tools.
  • Experience working with young people, ideally in an educational or mentoring capacity.
